There was another good turn out for the annual President’s Shield which was played under the Aussie Pairs format over a 4 match round robin event. Partners were drawn at random putting together the in form duo of Kevin Quirk and Marilyn Ellison who didn’t disappoint as they brushed aside their opponents with a fine display of bowls throughout the afternoon to be worthy winners of the President’s Shield for 2025. Commiserations to Win Kewley and Caroline Corlett who despite some big scores in their early matches narrowly missed out on this occasion.
