It was a successful weekend for Gordon Drinkwater who not only claimed the National Pairs title with partner Andy Dixon but was also part of the trio who carried off the Onchan Commissioners Triples trophy alongside Mel Reed and John Kewley. It was a bit of a cakewalk for the winners who swept all opposition aside in amassing a huge total to win the cup by some distance. There were some useful performances by Nicola Whiting, Joanne Kelly and Alan Colledge who can be seen deep in thought bemused by some of the lines weaved by the bowls on the way to the jack.
Our thanks also to Onchan Commissioner Scott Wilson who tried his hand at the sport and made the presentation to the worthy winners.
