With a great turn out for the Onchan Commissioners sponsored competition the pace of the green got the better of many of the bowlers in the near perfect conditions. There were some extraordinary shots witnessed during the day’s play and some others that certain members may wish to forget but overall it was an excellent event enjoyed by all.

With the only 2 undefeated triples drawn together in the last match it was a case of winner take all. Alas it was a match too far for the gallant runners up of Libby Andrade, Phil Smith and Mel Reed, who was disappointed not to add another silver salver to his collection.

It was the golden trio of John Kewley, David Slack and Pam Makin who finished the day unbeaten to claim the silverware and bragging rights for another season.
