The Onchan beaver scouts (Tuesday colony) and (Thursday colony) all aged 6 to 8 yrs had previously been to a ‘come and try’ session at our club and on Saturday a competition between 8 from each group was organised. Various bowls activities were set out on all 6 rinks and the Scouts did two circuits gaining individual points on each. The top two from each of the Tuesday group and Thursday group then competed in a final circuit to determine overall winner. With only one point separating the winner and runner up, the winner was presented with a trophy and all children were given winners medals. Thanks to all club members for their support during their visits, especially those that run the competition, Win, Phil Addy & club coach Clive. Thanks also to parents who came and encouraged the Scouts.
