As a result of the Government’s relaxation of the regulations, our consultation with IOM Sport has enabled us to enter phase two of the return to lawn bowls. Please see the safety information guide which will help manage your safety and those of other members:

• 1. Club members only. New members or paying members of the public are still not permitted at this stage
• 2. Use of the green is allowed by appointment only. No-one is permitted to use the green adhoc or on spec. Bookings can be made up to three days in advance by contacting the club secretary. We are required to record who has used the green for contact/trace purposes which is why the booking process is still in force
• 3. The clubhouse and equipment shed are closed. No access is permitted during this phase
• 4. In the event you require first aid, you may enter the clubhouse to access the first aid kit in this circumstance only
• 5. If you feel unwell or are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, DO NOT play
• 6. Use your own bowls and the equipment issued to you by the club. Please refain from handing bowls to others, and it is recommended that the same person carries the mat
• 7. Adhere to the Government’s guidance in regards to social distancing. Please stay at least two meters away from other people
• 8. We are permitted up to 10 people on the green at any one time. Even though this is the case, you are still required to book a playing time with the club secretary. Please do not turn up on spec
• 9. We are now permitted to have members from different households on the same rink at the same time. We are resticted to singles and pairs games to limit the numbers on the same rink which enables everyone to social distance. Please use alternate rinks which will further assist with this. Rinks will be allocated to you when you book your appointment with the secretary

This is a great step forward for us. It is hoped that in the coming weeks we will be allowed further relaxation of the regulations, but for now please adhere to the above.
