BACK TO BOWLS

As a result of the latest lift of some of the Isle of Man Government’s COVID-19 restrictions, we are pleased to announce that Onchan District Commissioners have permitted us access to the green. Sadly, we are however restricted on it’s use. To ensure we adhere to the current regulations we have consulted with Isle of Man Sport and have reintroduced our measures which were in force for the early part of last season. This currently means only one household (or household bubble for those who fall into this category) on the green at any one time. To ensure the playable time is maximised and to provide contact tracing information, if you wish to bowl you will need to book a dedicated session. Sessions are available in one hour blocks, on the hour, from 13:00 each day. To book a session, please contact the club secretary. Sessions can be booked upto three days in advance. Emails will be sent to all members daily with the current availability. At this time, the club house is closed. Only the equipment shed it to be accessed. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant will be provided. All equipment in the shed is to be thoroughly cleansed before and after its use. If you feel unwell, or show any symptoms of the virus, do not attend the green and notify the secretary of your cancellation.

If you have not yet completed a membership registration form, please do so at the earliest oppportunity, and forward this to the secretary. Currently, the use of the green is exclusive to club members. Exisiting members will need to renew their memberships to be able to benefit from the current agreements.

We are hopeful that these restrictions will only be in place for a few weeks, and we will keep you all informed of any changes. We are still planning on running all leagues, and will look to start these at the beginning of May (permitting this is possible). So we can be in the best possible position to start the leagues at the earliest opportunity, please notify the committee of your intention to enter a specified league so that fixtures can be drawn up. This will benefit all members make the most of the season.

Here’s to a good year of bowling!
