A field of 13 pairs fought it out to claim this year’s Ruby Cup. It’s great to see so many faces week in, week out; a sign that lawn bowls is on the rise once again on the island.

In a high scorjng 3,2,1 format, scores were culminated at the conclusion of the 5 rounds played, with each match consisting of just 4 ends. The two highest scoring teams faced each other in the final.

Husband and wife pairing Pat & Gary Lenton took on Bernice McGreal who teamed up with John Piekalns. Although John & Pat are less experienced than their respective partners they both played some excellent bowls and certainly did not let either side down! After a 4 end final the honours went to Bernice & John.
