Bowls Europe (formally the European Bowls Union) host their delayed biannual championships in Ayr, Scotland, which begins on Saturday. Hosts Bowls Scotland have opted to change this year’s format from the well known mens pairs, ladies pairs and mixed fours format previously played in the friendly games. This year we see a full schedule of mens and ladies singles, pairs, triples and rinks.

The Isle of Man will compete in all four disciplines; some familiar faces to the international scene are amongst the team along with four debutants who are keen to test themselves against some of the best bowlers in the world, many of which are using the competition as preparation for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games next month.

Our congratulation and best wishes go to our representatives:

  • Gary Lenton – Pairs & Fours
