The recent tour to Scotland by a group of our members was both an enjoyable and competitive visit with matches against 3 local clubs at Grangemouth Railway Bowls Club, Polmont Bowls Club and Larbert Bowls Club. The visit to Larbert coincided with their celebration of their 150th anniversary where Pam Makin presented their Club President, Leslie Mitchell, with an IOM Bowls Pennant and a commemorative Silver Plate to mark the occasion.

A presentation to the Larbert club was also made by Ron McArthur President of Bowls Scotland. (pictured in the centre.)
The Larbert club then presented members of our tour party with a “goody bag” of bowls towel, pen, and club badge.

The tour also included competition in the annual Open Triples Competition at Carron & Carronshore Bowls Club in which members from several clubs competed including some Scottish Internationals including Alex Marshall M.B.E.

Great hospitality was received from all 4 bowls clubs, friendships renewed, new ones made and invites to return in 2024.
