This year’s singles championships finals should once again see some fiercely contested matches. On Saturday 2nd September 2023, the finals will feature both the men’s and ladies pairs winners go head to head against each other! Neither of the players are strangers to the occasion having faced one another in these circumstances previously. Last time round, Bernice McGreal snatched the trophy out of Karen Slack’s grasp with a last bowl bomb to deny Karen her first championship win. Karen will be looking at avenging this defeat on Saturday. Whilst Clive & Mark McGreal will fight it out for the sixth time. Both have something to prove and are in decent form. Clive run out of ends in their league match a few weeks ago to come out second best, while Mark is unbeaten across all competitions and matches played, including those on international soil since returning from a year’s absence. Both games are scheduled for a 13:30 start.
