The final of the Junior Championship was another repeat of last season with John Long defending his title against William Corris. It was a good game with William taking an early lead but John soon found his form and with both lads playing well each had ends where they were holding 3 or 4 shots only for the other to take the end with their last bowl. At the start of the final 12th end the scores were equal at 9 all when John produced some fine bowls to score 2 shots and win the Junior Championship for the 3rd year in succession.
