In a change to this season’s format the Harrison Barometer was played as an Aussie Pairs competition with a full complement of 12 teams taking part including a former member, Dave Moncaster, who relocated to England a few years ago. The afternoon produced some fine bowls with scoring evenly distributed across a number of pairs who were in the hunt right up to the final end of the contest. In joint second place were the pairings of Bernice McGreal & Glynis Drinkwater and Dee Lewis & Ann Bannan who finished just a couple of shots adrift of the winners Eric Maddocks (adding yet another trophy to his collection for this season) along with “Dangerous Dave” Moncaster, showing he hasn’t lost any of his touch during his time away!
